Guidelines for mission-After 12th 2012

 

Mission-After 12th is a product designed to cater the needs of the students aspiring for various management courses other then engineering and medical as mentioned in the table below.

All these exams mentioned above have typical aptitude testing structure where Quant, DI, LR and verbal ability is a common part. There is a possibility that an extra support is needed in some specific courses. The Structure of product is designed like a Crash course. The product is created with the aim to be finished in 30 to 45 days. The batches will run at high frequency (5/6 days per week with 1.5 / 3 / 4.5 hours daily).

The structure is a three tier structure as follows:

 

Tier I

Regular sessions on Quantitative Aptitude, DI, Reasoning and Verbal aptitude (Vocab Building Exercises) with tutorial for doubt solving. With these sessions there will be session on Test Taking Technique and College info.

Tier II

Parallel sessions on specific needs of various exams like:

·         Verbal Ability (RC+EU) for all exams except CET

·         Law Aptitude (LA) for CLAT

·         Current Affairs for all exams

·         Scientific aptitude (SCA) for hotel management and BBA entrance.

·         General awareness (GA) for all exams.

Tier III

Test series with Mock tests on DAVVE CET, UGAT, SET, JEE, MHCET, NMAT and CLAT. The tests will be followed by analysis

Note:

·         In mission After 12th we have created only one Module for the sake of simplicity since the product has a short life span of two months. Centers may merge batches for Parallel sessions, Mock tests and Analysis sessions.

·         Centers should launch the courses as per the capability of catering other needs of Tier II sessions. There will be a requirement of faculties to take VA, GA, LA, CA and SCA sessions.

Quantitative Aptitude Reference Book 1

Covering Arithmetic i.e. number theory; percentage; profit and loss; partnership; averages and allegation; time and work; Speed, time and distance etc.

DI and LR Reference Book 1

Covering calculation Techniques, Data Interpretation (Different varieties of graphs, Combination of graphs, Caselets), Basics of reasoning, Mathematical reasoning, Analytical reasoning, Conditional reasoning, Syllogism and Data sufficiency.

Verbal Ability Reference Book 1

It covers Noun, Pronoun ;  Subject verb agreement ; Adjectives , Adverb  ; Tenses; Voices       Direct & Indirect Speech ; Prepositions , conjunctions                                         

Verbal Ability Reference Book 2

It covers Reading Techniques – Skimming and Scanning; 30 passages for practice,

Para Jumbles

Wordlist 1 and flash cards Set 1

It covers 1000+ higher frequency words and flash cards on the same wordlist

Word Miscellany 1

It covers Phrases and Idioms Phrasal Verbs Spelling Exercise on Synonyms, antonyms and analogy

General Awareness

A comprehensive book on various GA issues.

 

Note:

·         Apart from the above mentioned material, separate handouts may be given to the students in the open sessions

·         All Practice Sectional Tests are for those students who are targeting DAVV-CET exam. We need to conduct these tests after conduction of all Regular sessions.

·         This year we will teach Reference books in the sessions. Module structure will explain the details.

·         GD and PI preparation: GD/PI preparation will be handled as per the need.

 


Modalities of batch conduction: Technically all the students who opt for mission After 12th 2012 can attend all the sessions. Hence there is no need to track the students on the exam basis however for the tracking of material in open session, finding out requirement of tests, research and handling of specific programs centers should keep track of students about the exams they are opting for. It could be done in excel sheet of the following format.
